Research On Gymnastics Cultural Characteristics

Gymnastic culture is an integrated part of the sports culture. With the changes of the whole international physical culture surroundings, gymnastics has its sharp-cut time significance. Gymnastic culture has already grown to be a recessive culture with great influences and has become one of the symbolic elements for the mighty of one country or one nation in today's world.As an important part of the whole culture systems, gymnastic culture has brought about people's concern and study, even from the development of the fundamental viability of the initial period of the human society to today's core culture which displays the subject of peace, progress, competition and unity. Facing with the great international environment of economic globalization and through the concerned analysis of the study of present culture, sports culture and gymnastic culture, it is found that no activity could leave the whole background of world culture. The issue of cross culture has become the emphases of present scientific research. Since gymnastics is one of the important modes in the international intercourse, a general study of gymnastic culture can not meet the modern time demands. Thus it is necessary to make a deep research of gymnastic culture from a theoretical point of view with cross-branch of knowledge and multi-angle.Taking gymnastic culture as the study subject and by applying the following research methods, such as literature and data method, real evidence analysis method and comparative method, this study has traced back to the culture origin of gymnastic sport and tried out its culture connotation, defined its concept, essence and structure, made the multidisciplinary study from anthropology, sociology and philosophy point of view, finally discussed the gymnastic culture for its anthropology feature, sociology feature and philosophy feature. This study has riched the gymnastic theory and the content of sports culture as well, given an impetus to the formulation of the platform which is beneticial to the development of gymnastic culture research work in an even greater scale.This study has discovered:(1) The culture connotation of the gymnastic sport:It reflects the instinct demand of the human production and the existence and the pursuing of the esthetical culture and art. It advocates the natural sentiment and makes an unswerving search for potential.(2) From the broad sense, gymnastic culture belongs to the domain of sports culture.It exhibits the beauty of gymnastic sport through gymnastics and embodies the summation of material and spirit wealth which is created during the process of gymnastic sport values. From the narrow sense, by means of body exercise and in the long period of gymnastic sport, gymnastic culture figures the natural beauty of the human body, exhibits the beauty of art for the harmonized athletics of the human body and embodies the ideological conception and consciousness behavior of gymnastic sport.(3) Gymnastic culture involves three essentials which are gymnastic spirit culture, gymnastic system culture and gymnastic material culture.(4) The structure of gymnastic culture can be represented by the three concentric circle structures with the individual person as the center of a circle, gymnastic spirit culture as the most internal circle, gymnastic system culture as the intermediate circle and gymnastic material culture as the most outer circle.(5) Gymnastic culture has anthropology features with nationality, regionality and temporal spirit; Athletic gymnastics has become the main tune of the modern gymnastics and has the sociology features of the high social recognition of body building type gymnastics; Value requirement is the internal factor of the generation and development of gymnastic culture." Agree to differ" has become the trend of development of the globalization of gymnastic culture and has the dialectic and unitive philosophy feature in the form of the motion of matters.
