Peer Instruction introduced by professor Mazur in Harvard University is a hot topic in the education research at home and abroad and has been widely spread and used in different disciplines in recent years. Research shows that the application of peer instruction can not only help students understand the knowledge but also has a positive role in promoting students’learning behavior and learning attitude. Because peer instruction has good teaching effect, therefore, combining the characteristics of subject with teaching environment, to explore their own Peer instruction method becomes very meaningful.A lot of literature shows that Information Technology in Higher Education has been popularized in this years. "JiTT"(Just-in-Time Teaching)Teaching Model, One of the most influential representative of Integrating Information Technology into Curriculum can not only take full advantage of information technology in teaching,but also can improve students’learning initiative and efficiency of teaching. This thesis tries to integrate " Just-in-Time teaching" into "Peer Instruction" for making full use of the advantages of both teaching models. This study will analyze the feasibility,the significance and the implementing procedures of the integration by theoretical analysis, and then test the teaching effect,analyzes the questionnaire investigations collected from students and statistics the correlation between JiTT and PI throw SPSS 19.0 based on the outcomes of practice study. Finally this thesis makes a preliminary exploration about the effective strategy of the implementation of the integration.Theoretical analysis of JiTT and PI shows that the integration is not only feasible but also can realize the complementary advantages of them, exploit their respective education advantages to the full;The analysis of teaching effect and questionnaires of the implementation shows that the integration of JiTT and PI can promote the students’ understanding of knowledge, improve the learning enthusiasm. Preview in JiTT can help students better understand the insufficiency, help teacher make the explanation more targeted and improve the efficiency of the classroom; Correlation analysis of JiTT and PI shows that there is significant positive correlation between the preparation result, PI result and final result, the correlation between PI result and final result is stronger than preview result and final result, final result is influenced by preview result and PI result both; Finally, this thesis gives some suggestions on the effective implementation strategy of JiTT and PI from three aspects such as the class arrangement, subject design and evaluation.
