College Students Association as college students own,self-built,self-management, self-taught students organizations.It as an equal, free choice, democratic attitude to attract young students, with an open, active, comprehensive way of active study located in university life, it has became an important part of the school potential classroom,also became an important platform and effective way to ideological and political education work in university.Therefore, analysis of how to elaborate the function of ideological and political education of college students associations,it’s of great significance to strengthen and improve ideological and political education work.Based on clarify existing circumstances of college students association’ ideological and political education at domestic and abroad,this paper starts from the concept of college students association,characteristics and types,divided the course of development of college students association;Through the exploration of the theoretical basis of the college students association’ideological and political education function,summarizesd the particular content of college students association’ ideological and political education function;Then underline the carrier of college students association’ideological and political education function;Through the method of questionnaire, the paper analyzes the current situation of community’ ideological and political education function, including the achievements and the existing problems, and analysised the reasons of the restrict college students association’ ideological and political education function;On the basis of reason analysis, puts forward the specific path to promote the ideological and political education function of college students associations from College,society itself,social environment and drawing lessons from foreign experience four aspects.
