This thesis does the research based on the English teachers of several schools in Gu Yuan city and the neighborhood. The author investigates 150 respondents by tracing investigation and questionnaires within a half year, especially interviews several typical English teachers of Middle schools. Subsequently, the author deposes the data and the outcomes of questionnaires and interviews. Its purpose is to finger out the developmental conditions of English teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge based on the background of NEC in the period of the present elementary education via the practical research and interview. In light of the outcomes of both investigations and interviews, the author uses the large numbers of rel event document literature and quantitative tools to analyze and synthesize them in aims at figuring out problems and doingpractical research. As a consequence, this paper will arouse every English teacher’s awareness towards the importance of development of professional pedagogical content knowledge as for English language teaching. On the other hand, with the help of data and outcomes of investigations, this thesis is able to give readers the pertinent,useful and practical methods on how to improve and consolidate one’s development of pedagogical content knowledge. Finally, English teachers can realize the transformation from novice teachers, skillful teachers to excellent and distinguished teachers.This thesis consists of five chapters, chapter one illustrate the significance and values refers to this paper; Chapter two is the literature review, also tells us the developmental conditions as for pedagogical content knowledge at home and abroad as well as does the contrastive analysis between which of both home and aboard; Chapter three is the process of the study on the case; Chapter four is the results of the study., which uses the quantitative ways and qualitative ways to fulfill the investigation and interview and makes good preparation for the following parts of the thesis; Chapter five is the suggestive and practical strategies regarding on how to improve English language teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge will appear; Chapter six is the true values and significance of this thesis will appear.
