The rapid development of multimedia technology which provides learners with the new vocabulary learning environment which are improved greatly,which makes the traditional against foreign language learning objective conditions and improves the rich foreign language information. At the same time, the rapid development of multimedia technology brings people a new way of learning and cognition, which changed the traditional way of vocabulary teaching. Although domestic and foreign researchers do some research in the multimedia and task-based vocabulary teaching, the effective combination of both study is less, and the research participants are always college or high school students in China. Vocational schools in this aspect of the study is too little, especially combined with secondary vocational preschool education professional study on English vocabulary teaching which is still a lack of a relatively detailed and comprehensive research. The purpose of this study is based on the combination of multimedia technology and task-based language teaching and applied to the effectiveness of the secondary vocational school English vocabulary teaching.This article mainly aims at three different methods of vocabulary teaching, namely: the multimedia task-based vocabulary teaching, task-based teaching and the traditional vocabulary teaching. Investigation and research of this paper mainly uses the questionnaire survey and interviews, and the two instruments uses three classes of students in our high school as the research objects, Class One for the control group, Class 2 and Class 3 as the experimental group. After two ways of vocabulary-post and questionnaire investigation to collect measurement data, then by using the statistical software package SPSS(version 13.0) social science, the vocabulary test results are quantitative analysis, and using the method of calculation of the percentage is analyzed with the result of questionnaire survey and research, finally it is concluded that the effectiveness of the multimedia task-based vocabulary teaching.It is showed that: multimedia task-based vocabulary is difference from task-based vocabulary teaching and traditional vocabulary teaching, which is better than the others, but the students in multimedia task-based vocabulary teaching performance better than the one task-based vocabulary teaching, especially in accept ability. In secondary vocational school students, multimedia task-based vocabulary teaching is the most helpful in improving students’ English vocabulary learning efficiency in the secondary vocational school.
