Facing the dramatic changes of technology, information technology has made the contaction among countries and culture more and more frequent. However in the period of social transformation, the development of new media influences the formation of college students’ national identification College students, as a new technology, new concept of social group, the national special attention to cultivate professional talents, represents the most advanced culture idea. Facing complicated international environment, college students’ value conflict and change constantly, so the education of national identification is also more and more important. There is no doubt that the new media play an importance role in college students’ learning life. Improving college students’ national identification is beneficial to maintain the legitimacy of the ruling party, and highlight the importance of college students’ national identification. Therefore, it is significant to know Guiyang college Students’ current situations about national identification and the usage of new media, find out existing problem of college students’ national identification under the mew medial environment, and improve their national identification. By using literature method, questionnaire method and a thorough investigation into the new media environment under the present situation of Guiyang college students’ national identification, the author finds out some outstanding problem: some pare of college students’ citizen consciousness and political consciousness are not high; Their political participation consciousness is light. After surveying and analyzing current exiting problems, the author puts forward a plan to improve college students’ national identification.The structure of the paper, besides introduction and conclusion, also includes four parts of content:The first part expounds the relevant concept definition and connotation. New media has different characteristic. National identification can be affected by religion, ethnic identity and national identification of new media and so on.The second part expounds the new media environment under the current situation of college students’ national identification- in Guiyang college, for example. On the basis of the statistical analysis of five university students’ questionnaires, including current situations of Guiyang college students’ national identification, the usage of new media and the relationship among college students’ national identification, we can get the conclusion that Guiyang college students national identification are higher but there are still some shortcoming. Analyzing the cause that influence college students’ national identification in new media environment from three aspects: the consensus of value, the ideological and political education and political efficacy.Third part expounds the new media brings challenges and opportunities on college students’ national identification. The "alienation" in the new media,spread the "butterfly effect", in the process of "virtual world" and the "real world" staggered poses challenges for the college students’ national identification. The new media provides multiple expression channels, promoting national image and the diversity of delivering content to improve college students’ national identification.The fourth part expounds how to cultivate college students’ national identification in the new medial environment. Improving the Internet legislation, construction of effective legal regulation mechanism; To improve college students’ media literacy, strengthen the network ethics consciousness; To strengthen college students’ ideological and political education, in order to improve college students’ national identification.
