The study tries to explain some biological concepts that correlated with mathematical in high school with mathematical concepts or related mathematical concepts in order to develop students’ ability to solve problems in biology by using mathematical- logical intelligence, which is expected to promote students’ all-round development. This paper is based on contemporary psychological and pedagogical theory, such as multiple intelligences theory, tacit knowledge theory, constructivist theory, etc. The author taught and researched in two senior-one classes of Kunming No.28 junior school using literatures study, survey procedure, experiments research and so on. Firstly, students of the two classes were investigated to find out their obstacle of solving biological problems which related to mathematics. Secondly, teaching plan was designed based on the result of investigation. Finally, confirmed class(1) as experimental class and class(3) as comparative class. The author used the activity teaching methods to help students use mathematics to solve biological problems in class(1), while used conventional teaching methods in class(3).According to the teaching practice, the positive influence of “The research of explaining the biological concept through mathematical methods in activity teaching” lie in the following aspects: The application of activity teaching can not only arouse students’ interests in learning but also improve their biology learning literacy; Students overcome the anxiety of learning mathematics, and their ability of explaining the biological concept with mathematical methods has been improved obviously; Students’ ability of flexibility and application capabilities has been advanced; Through activity teaching, students’ interpersonal intelligence, linguistic intelligence and others complement one another; Students’ awareness on subjects amalgamation has been strengthened, experiencing and discovering the history of science. This research is needed to establish a good group learning mechanism; Teachers need to strengthen the ability of controlling the classroom. The researcher also need to increase the representativeness of the sample and extend the activities of teaching time and shorten the interval.
