The Fictive Parentage Of Wakil In Liu Gong Village Of Shihezi City

As the complement of kinship,the fictive ship have always been interested by the researchers of ethnology.In Liu Gong village, the female of the Hui nationality form a special fictive ship with others in “wakili” before marriage. Based on Liu Gong village in Shi Hezi city as research field,the paper puts to use participant observation, depth interview and questionnaire survey combine with the method of dialectical materialism.Through research,it finds that most of female who have married have a nominal kinship in “wokili” in Liu Gong village.These female keep closed contact with their “wakili”.Through the determination of candidate,recognition fictive kinship and the establish of the relationship formally in the ritual of Nikah,the bride and the”wakili” got their role of “daughter”and “parent”.The roles endow their rights,obligation and the code of conduct.Through the analysis of the progress of the relationship,it finds that there are three features of the fictive ship,which are religious color,relative relationship and supervision by public opinions. Through the analysis of the progress of their relationship,it will be found that the relationship is a kind of meaningful social support which involve practical support,emotional support and the support of social interaction.These support improve the social status and the power as well as women’s subjective initiative in the new environment after they got married.In the meantime,this relationship regulated family order,strengthen the social contact.In the fourth chapter,As the change of the ages,the fictive kinship of “wakili”in Liu Gong village have experienced three stages:the continuation,the transition and vanishment.Analyzing the changes,there are four reasons:the enlargement of intermarriage circle,the increasing of economic level,acceleration of the progress of urbanization,the improvement of women status and the weakening of religious influences.The writer think that the fictive kinship in “wakili”in Liu Gong village provides a shelter for married women of hui nationality in the new environment. The order and family ethics which come from the fictive kinship promote the family unity and national cohesion.Although its function is more and more small after the changes,but the mechanism of action is a good use for reference.
