"A Study on Bilingual Teaching in Nationality School of Shihezi City in Xinjiang"is based on the field investigation of the bilingual education in the nationality school of the Shihezi City in Xinjiang, guided by theories of education,education sociology,nationalitology,nationality pedagogy,sociolinguistics and the second language studing etc.,through the methods of interview and questionnaire with teachers,students,patriarchs,observing the teaching behaviour of teachers and students,attending lectures and teaching management personnel of Shihezi nationality school ,combining with literature studies to give a relatively comprehensive knowledge to the present situation,characteristic,modes,achievement,existed problems and proposed measures for corresponding problems on bilingual teaching of Shihezi nationality school. By quantitative an qualitative analysis,the author evaluated the necessity and validity of bilingual teaching at minority nationality school in Chinese single language area and produced an effect on bilingual teaching in Xinjiang be developed greatly from the specific bilingual education model.
