Research For Feasibility Of Farmers’ Basketball Activities

Farmers’ sports is an important issue in human’s society. The establishment of farmers’ fitness equipments, providing farmers facilities to participate in physical exercise, effectively promots the development of farmers’ sports. However, new problems has emerged, such as the low usage efficiency of facilities and long-term idle state of the equipments. The facilities always become ornaments when no one use them. To solve such problems, alternative sports approaches should be developed. New sports projects should take place of traditional sports facilities and sports activities should be organised for farmers..Basketball games, as a simple sports activity, combine both functions of entertainment and body building. In villages and towns, the organization of basketball activities can enhance the attractiveness of sports, so that villagers in different genders and ages can involve, promoting physical health and developing a rich cultural life. Peasants’ sports activities can meet the national fitness requirements, and can help build a new socialist countryside and a moderately prosperous society.In this thesis, we analised 3 different towns in Fenyang City, to get the peoples’ need and opinions on the development of basketball activities. We interviewed both the officiers and the viligers of the towns, to understand the current situation of famers’ sports. Different methods are used in our work, such as literature research, questionnaire, field survey, statistics and analysis. We discussed the feasibility of basketball activities in viliges from these 3 aspects: firstly, the acceptance of program by the government, willingness of farmers to participate in basketball activities; funds to conduct these activities.According our research and analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn:1. Fun basketball activity has the features simple operation, wide audience, it can meet the farmers’ demand for physical exercise, in line with national fitness policy requirements, is also in line with the requirements of the countries in the development of farmer sports and illustrate the Fenyang City to carry out farmers fun basketball activities necessary.2. Fenyang City, rural areas have carried out interesting basketball activities of site conditions, basketball field, activities of the programme has been the township government leaders and the majority of farmers support and funding for activities have certain security, officials components not but can meet the requirements, in the township of Fenyang City open to show interesting basketball activities is feasible.3. Fenyang City sports facilities in rural areas there are lax management, beyond the use of life and maintenance is not timely phenomenon; also a small number of social sports instructors, and the lack of a correct understanding of their responsibilities, contribution to the local farmers’ sports.At the same time put forward the following recommendations:1 Fenyang municipal government leaders should pay close attention to the implementation of the action of farmers’ sports work, play their leading role, clear job responsibilities of the sports department, strengthen supervision and management. At the same time to do a good job on sports health, fun, and other aspects of the propaganda work, increase publicity efforts, increase publicity channels.2. Fenyang City Sports for farmers to fun basketball activities as the breakthrough point, into the local advantages of group events in, mobilize their enthusiasm to participate in sports activities, the expanding of mass sports in urban and rural areas the number of participants and in the process step by step guide to farmers on the proper mode of motion, to create a good atmosphere of sports activities. Efforts will be the development of this activity as a "village- Township-city" three progressive structure, to create a new situation in Fenyang City, the farmers’ sports.3. Fenyang City, the township government to innovative thinking, broaden the channels for raising funds for sports activities; Wei at all levels to establish standard of sports facilities management system, for rural sports facilities should always check and problems in a timely manner to repair; Fenyang City Sports Bureau of registered in the network society will Sports Instructors should actively mobilize and let them define their own duty, to mobilize them to make due contribution for local farmers’ sports.
