With the rapid development of information technology in the21stcentury, themanagement staff of colleges and universities has gradually attached great importanceto the informationization of educational administration. Accordingly, the informationsystem plays an increasing part in the educational administration. Furthermore, as theeducational administration system has been applied to the management of educationaladministration for many years, it has accumulated plenty of educational administrationdata. Therefore, how to conduct a further research on these data and develop moresuitable educational administration system in need has become a hot topic. This paper,combined with the author’s practical work, delves deeper on the course-selectingsystem of colleges and universities educational administration system, and on the basisof information network recommendation technologies, develops a recommendationmodel grounded on probabilistic inference in belief network for the course-selectingsystem of colleges and universities.The introduction of recommendation model based on belief network into course-selecting system of educational administration aims to ensure the management staffmake better use of the information system to serve students while practicing teachingadministration. In this way, the teaching quality and management efficiency can befurther improved. The core content of this paper studies the integration betweenbelief network model based on probabilistic reasoning and the course-selecting systemof colleges and universities. This paper employs the probabilistic and causal reasoningalgorithm put forward by Judea Pearl, the winner of Turing Award, and takes theword-matching technology and the word similarity measurements as the priorprobability value of the belief network model to design Bayesian network modelwhich is used as the core to establish the university students’ course selection system.In terms of the design of course selection system, as the system can be divided intofive modules such as student information management module, course managementmodule, course selection module, course selection result statistics module, and systemmaintenance module, this paper use the United Modeling Language to carefully designand explain those five modules by means of case diagram, class diagram and sequencediagram.This paper has tested the system in the end whose result has demonstrated that this system can use data analysis function to efficiently organize and manage a largeamount of course-selecting data and provide students with individualized coursesaccording to their previous course-selecting records, which greatly improves theefficiency of course selection, reduces the blindness of course selection and offersbetter data analysis and decision backup for management staff in the educationalinstitutions.
