Traditional wired fire monitoring network has drawbacks such as complicatedinstallation and high cost. Besides that, since the entire network relies on wire fordata transmission, the traditional way to monitor fires can hardly meet the demand offirefighting work in modern society. With the rapid development of wirelesscommunication technology, embedded technology and sensor technology, firemonitoring system changes a lot in function and structure. The emergence ofwireless fire remote monitoring system provides powerfully technical support toresolve above issues. As an important part of fire remote monitoring system, firemonitoring gateway bridges the gap between sensing network and traditionalcommunication network and seriously guarantees the reliability of the entiresystem.Aiming at the problem and demand of current fire monitoring system, thethesis introduces a kind of wireless sensor network gateway for fire remotemonitoring. The main work of this thesis is as follows:1)A kind of zigbee coordinator node base on CC2530chip was designed. Onthe hardware, the coordinator has two kinds of communication interface, one is theserial port interface, the other is USB intereface.On the software, the networking andcommunication process of the coordinator was designed in this thesis. It enables theAndroid system to communicate with the sensing network.2)The thesis introduces three ways to realize the communication between theAndroid platform and the zigbee coordinator.The first one is serial portcommunication, through making serial port dynamic link library by NDK and JNItechnology, the Android platform could manipulate the serial port by calling thelibrary. The second one is USB communication. In this situation, Android act asUSB host mode. By using USB related class under Android environment, Androidplatform could obtain the I/O stream of USB devices.The third one was realized bythe Arduino platform which act as a medium between Android and the coordinator.3)The function of the gateway was designed in this thesis, such as local storage,alarm data upload, data visualization, remote control by penetrating NAT and so on. It satisfies the need of fire remote monitoring system.The gateway system has been used in a historical and cultural site. It cam findhidden danger of fire and upload it to the upper control center timely and accurately.
