Communication Equipment Maintenance Oriented IETM Ublishing Platform Design And Implementation

Technical data have been increasing year and year as information technology develops rapidly and all kinds of the equipment are more and more complicated. In general the technical data are stored as paper documents, which have resulted in inconvenient use and slow update. Interactive electronic technical manual (IETM) is a solution to technical data digitization under the background of the rapid development of computer technology and network technology.The primary works in this thesis are presented as follows:(1)Have designed and coded the Schema of the three information units, that is, DM, DML and PM according to the requirement of the international standard S1000D.(2)Based on comprehensive comparison between the three XML data storage solution XEDB, NXDB and HxDB, the thesis selected Oracle XML DB as the final implementation tool, and completed the design and coding of the repository.(3)Accomplished the design and coding of XSL-style sheet, and realized publishing XML documents into HTML and PDF formats by using XSL language.The thesis have finished the prototype of IETM delivery platform oriented communication equipment maintenance, and it was used to make and release the IETM of HES satellite communications equipment. The result show that the method proposed in the thesis is of good applying value and prospect.
