With the founding of Beijing planetarium rendering center, more and more astronomical shows have been made, the problem of low efficiency of post-production highlights day by day. The Renderfarm product they are using could not solve such a lot of problems during the post-production, and which has limited the effectiveness of the cluster in the rendering center. This thesis will research in that particular case. The ultimate goal of this thesis is development a Renderfarm system for the astronomical show in planetarium.At first, the merits and drawbacks of existing Render Farm Products are analyzed, the different between of astronomical show in planetarium and three dimensional animation are also investigated, and put forward its necessity of construction Renderfarm System. Secondly, this thesis describes the key techniques of the Randerfarm, and analyzes the feasibility of basing on Windows HPC Server2008Operation System to designing a Renderfarm System. According to these techniques, the need analysis of Renderfarm System is given, including design objective and function requirement. The architecture and transaction flows are designed accordingly and Renderfarm System is realized. Renderfarm System consists of Server, Render node and Data center. Server provides website services, allows users login, submit and manage jobs based on their permission. Render node through analysis, optimization and operation to ensure the job accurate, stable and fast complete. Data center runs data management system and stores all data information. Finally, the thesis describes the environment of typical application, demonstrates the application effect of the server, and tests the performance of Renderfarm System.Compared with the previous rendering management platform, the Renderfarm system designed and implemented in this thesis has enhanced the performance in some different aspects. This Renderfarm System could remove the commercial monopoly, take the cluster in rendering center advantage. With expanding the application service and enhancing the stability, there will be more and more astronomical shows been made from this Renderfarm System.
