| As the rapid development and strengthen of Internet nowadays,the traditional storagenetworks are facing more and more challenges. The vigorous development of cloudcomputing has injected fresh blood to the data center network, it enables data centerinfrastructure changes.The new generation of network generally use the idea of "fusion".Data center architect and manufacturers have been hoping to have a perfect "unified" datacenter architecture,unified data center architecture can bring a lot of business and technicalbenefit,for example:less hardware and more simple management,higher flexibility andreliability,low power consumption etc.. In this architecture,a single high performancearchitecture can meet all requirements of the IP payload,storage and server.FCoEtechnology comes into being in this context.FCoE(Fibre Channel over Ethernet) protocol bear FC protocol in Ethernet basednetwork,without changing the existing Ethernet infrastructure, creativily combine SANnetwork and LAN network together in the data center network,it makes the transmission ofstorage data over Ethernet becomes possible,and inherits the good characteristics of the FCprotocol stack. FCoE is a successful network fusion technology,it saves cyber source,reduces network construction investment,and provides a unified network architecture forthe development of cloud computing.This paper discusses several key technologies of FCoE’s realization in the data centernetwork,and implementation of its initialization protocol FIP and multi hop modeFIP snooping,on the base of a comprehensive and deep analysis of the FC and FCoEprotocol ’s principles and characteristics. FIP snooping is an important function of FCoE,As a transition mode of existing Ethernet to FCoE evolution,It strengthens the protectionof FC protocol stack based on pure Ethernet mode,and without any consumptionof FC DomainID, reducing the difficulty of building multi-hop link. The FIP snoopingdevice is connected in series between the ENode and the FCF device, monitoring andforwarding FIP protocol message. It is a transition plan for good in the topological environment of short distance and simple topology. This paper presents a method toimplement FIP snooping mode software, and verifies the function and performance of FIPsnooping mode software through experimental analysis,showing that the FIP snoopingdevice can indeed play the role of expanding FCoE networks in the network,and it is asuccessful multi hop scheme. |
