| The Chinese Classics study fervor in the1980s had greatly stimulated thepublishing and popularizing of Chinese Classics. Publishing houses specialized inancient books and education, as well as book dealers, took part in this trend one afteranother. They processed the Chinese Classics from different aspects, such as notation,translation, adaptation and deduction, and used these Classics in the publishing ofvarious topics. In current popular culture, publishing on Chinese Classics has becomemore commercial, or even entertaining. Chinese Classics books of different stylessatisfied the needs of different readers. The development and publishing of ChineseClassics resource are conducted around how the remodeling of Chinese Classicsinfluence social value or function at present. However, the publishing andpopularization behaviors under the idea that consumption is foremost, to some extent,misinterpreted the ideological themes and historical facts to the end of entertainingpublic and drawing the attention of readers.This thesis, focusing on publishing of Chinese Classics at present, analyzed thestatus quo, the trend in the future and various problems in publishing, and studied thedirection adjustment of publishing at strategic level. The first chapter defined whatChinese Classics are all about, and sorted out the evolution of its publishing. Thesecond one discussed the status quo and trend in the future, analyzed why thepublishing of Chinese Classics resembled more like fast food or entertainment, andbecame fragmented, as well as the propagation trend of popularization, differentiationand commercialization. The third one analyzed the problems in publishing, and inChinese Classics itself from the psychological quest of readers for Chinese Classicspublishing and the rebellion of popular culture against classic culture. The fourth onediscussed above-mentioned problems at strategic level from the angle of publishingideas, development of ancient books and propagation ways. |
