With the rapid development of wireless communication,signal processing technology andcomputing technology,the digital frequency synthesis technology has been widely used inradar, communication, seismic exploration intelligent instruments, scientific experiments andmany other aspects.Aiming at the traditional digital synthesis system is unconvenient oftaking, poor and unfriendly in human-computer interacting and real-time performance, andlow level of intelligence and weakness in flexibility, This paper designed with FPGA as thecore of digital signal processing hardware circuit, the VHDL hardware description languageas the FPGA logic designing,and developed PC software with c++language on VC2010platform, the design of the three parts above makes the digital frequency synthesis sourcesystem in reality.The system takes the high-speed fpga as the core of digital signal processing elements,Asto realize the sequential control of waveform file in storaging,reading and communicationwith computer,according to the singal which need to be deal with by fpga,we designedhigh-speed digital-to-annlog conversion circuit.At the same time we designed the controlinterface for calculating,generating,loading waveform files on the software platform ofVC2010.The tests results show that the system has a good interactive,accurant frequency andwide range of applicability.In the design of the FPGA module, we compiled the corresponding sequential circuitswith VHDL language and buffer FIFO, and make full use of FPGA in the rich resources oftime sequence, such as phase-locked loop PLL, triggers, buffer FIFO, etc.,which can beconvenient to complete control of the system input/output clock. In the design of logic on some modules the corresponding simulation results has been given, and detailed descriptionand time series analysis are plus.According to the temporal sequence of AD9736and theFPGA software engineering development Xilinx–ISE design12.3we carried on the controlof state machine design.
