With the development of microelectronics technology and control theory, motioncontrol technology has been rapid developed, especially the open motion control systemwith the core of digital signal processor (DSP), which is the main trend domestic andoverseas. USB interface as the most popular PC-interface technology, due to its simpleinstallation and connection, and supports hot-plug-in and plus-and-play features, has beenwidely used in the field of industrial motion control system. Nowadays, there is a greatgap between the domestic motion control system and those made in developed countries.Therefore, it is meaningful to do researches and developments on the performance openmotion control technology.In this dissertation, some approaches of implementing motion control systems arecompared based on different hardware platforms, and through the analysis of multi-axismotion control system, developed and designed a four-axis motion control system basedon DSP and USB2.0interface according to the requirements of three dimension printer.Firstly, peripheral circuit are detail designed and discussed after the block diagramdiscussed, the peripheral circuit includes USB interface peripheral circuit, PWM circuit,stepping motor driver interface circuits, and I/O signal processing circuit.Secondly, the mechanical zero, stepping motor position control, and the T-curveacceleration-deceleration control are executed by DSP. USB interface firmware wasdesigned by Keil C development tools, and achieved the communication between the DSPand PC. And in the Visual C++environment, using MFC dialog-based technologyprogrammed the user software.Finally, after the debug of hardware&software is completed, the proposed motioncontrol system is used in the three dimension printer platform, the experiment show thatthis motion control system has good performance and effect, running smoothly, andhuman-machine mutual interphase friendly, which can realize the functions anticipated.
