| The company has to employ the professor to install and configure softwares used frequently in their newly-bought computers. The computers need to be configured one by one to ensure the performance of the softwares, which waste much time and human resource, and raises the difficulties of the maintain work later. And when some crash happens, the staff need to communicate with the engineers to locate and solve the problems. The process is asked to be realized automatically to save money and time.There are systems like this in some companies developed themselves or bought. Usually the IT department maintain the resources in the backend site. The staff can connect to the site through web pages or PC client to brower and install the softwares they want. But these systems are designed for the specific company and cannot support other types of components they don’t need like driver and bat script. And the staff still need to think about the dependency and compatibility themselves.Software Configuration Assistant in Windows Operation System is just designed for this situation which is based on C/S architecture. The administrator uploads the installation packages to the server, configure the dependency and ensure the compatibility between the softwares. Then the client connect to the server and fetch the information of the softwares configured for the role and district selected. These information are pushed to the client and components can be installed with the automaitical install command. The client user just need to click the button to start the install process.To realize the automatical installation of softwares, the tool described in this paper detecting, download and install softwares automatically by parsing the configuration for the software. It uses the analysis result gotten manually from the administrator to detect if the software has been installed and uses the silent installation command to install the software in silence, which support most of the softwares. |
