With the advent of these new concepts and technologies, such as Internet of Things, cloud computing, the new technologies have largely changed people’s ideas about computing and computer. The various walks of life have undergone a series of revolutionary breakthrough in society. Meanwhile, computing and computational thought have gradually become important factors to promote the development of economy, science and society. In the field of education, with the continuous development of educational informatization and Internet technology, the quality of computational thought has become one of the most important indexes to evaluate the comprehensive quality of higher personnel. The research of the paper mainly depends on the latest training objectives based on computer course(Computational Thinking Quality Training) put forward by the “university basic computer course teaching directive committee”. And the paper is designed to investigate the current situation of students’ computational thinking in Chongqing higher vocational college. Higher vocational education is an important part of vocational education and higher education to train higher skilled personnel. Therefore, in the digital age of new technology constantly updated, it is important theoretical and practical significance to strengthen higher vocational college students’ thinking ability(especially computational thinking ability), enhance students’ the level of computational thinking, and promote the formation of innovation consciousness and ability. In the paper, the specific work is listing as follows:Firstly, the author compiles the questionnaire about higher vocational students’ computational thinking, depending on computational thinking connotation including three dimensions(computational thinking consciousness, computational thinking method and computational thinking ability) on the basis of fully understanding the related theories of computational thinking. Then the author analyzes the item, validity and reliability testing of the questionnaire, so as to form the formal questionnaire. According to the questionnaire results, the paper analyzes the higher vocational college students’ overall level of computational thinking, three aspects of computational thinking based on the background variables. At last, the paper is on analysis of students’ attitude on the education of computational thinking.Secondly, according to the present situation of the higher vocational college students’ computational thinking, the author analyzes the reasons caused this situation. For example, higher vocational colleges attach less importance to computational thinking; the construction of computer basic course system based on computational thinking is not perfect; the leading role of teachers cannot be fully reflected; the students are lack of self-learning ability and the students’ educational foundation of computational thinking in high school stage is weak. Then, from the above five reasons, the author proposes corresponding computational thinking training strategies, as following: paying attention to the computational thinking education, making the corresponding training plan; constructing the computer basic course system based on computational thinking; improving teachers’ computational thinking quality, playing the leading role of teachers fully; enhancing students’ interest in learning computer and self-learning ability; building teaching modes based on Computational Thinking.Finally, the author has carried on the teaching practice of computer courses, based on computational thinking training strategies successfully, including constructing the new curriculum content by "computational thinking" oriented( "C Programming Language" in higher vocational colleges as an example); putting Task-Driven Effective Teaching Mode On Computational Thinking(TDTMOCT) into the “C programming language” teaching, and analyzing the relevant teaching effectiveness.
