Currently, the foreign high-end CAD software company gets hold of the core technology of Direct Modeling and gradually forms technology barrier. In view of this, in order to break the monopoly of foreign technology, to learn from each others from the various existing Direct Modeling technology and to establish a proprietary Direct Modeling techniques,on the basis of China-day SINOVATION 3D CAD / CAM system platform to establish domestic-based kernel subsystem, the system achieve the purpose of fast Direct Modeling by searching through geometric topology and geometric modeling technology, the existing three-dimensional model analysis as well as editing process. The problems which needs to solve in this thesis are to design Direct Modeling system which can satisfy model industry needs by the platform of SINOVATION, according to the needs of customers, combined with domestic and foreign Direct Modeling technology.In the aspect of demand analysis, it should combine with the actual situation of China’s domestic mold market, have access to the user’s needs and be familiar with business processes, which based on fully understanding the basis of the current analysis of existing Direct Modeling CAD software technology. Users requirements include feature recognition and functional requirements and non-functional requirements of Direct Modeling and sum up reasonable technical ideas and design ideas by the analysis of market demand and existing technology as well as the practical situation of geometric modeling technique..In the aspect of design of Direct Modeling, it should combine with the operational characteristics of the mold industry to design reasonably to fully meet the system’s adaptability, extendibility, robustness, flexibility and practicality.In the aspect of Direct Modeling achievement, basic text design on the front, it mainly focuses on solving the realization of three-dimensional model on feature recognition Direct Modeling technology, according to design of system and actual scene application. The paper achieves it by lines and uneven surface geometry topology and geometry-based modeling retrieval technology.The first part describes the development background of Direct Modeling application systems, feature recognition technology and Direct Modeling technology research at home and abroad, as well as the main issues to be addressed in this paper and the major work needs to be done.The second part describes the Direct Modeling application system requirements and key technologies, which mainly analyze the Direct Modeling application systems requirements. Firstly, an overview of the Direct Modeling applications and SINOVATION platform. Secondly, the target of the system and the problems needed to be solved. Finally, the system needs analysis, including feature recognition and Direct Modeling application functional requirements analysis and non-functional requirements analysis.The third part, the Direct Modeling application framework design, mainly design the system’s frame. Firstly it describes the design objections and design principles of the system. Then in the technical architecture, functionality and logic are carried out in accordance with the architecture design. Finally functional components and processes application of system functional framework are stated in detail.The fourth part, Direct Modeling application system detailed design, mainly states application design of Direct Modeling system. Firstly the overall structure of Direct Modeling application system is designed again and positioned, based on the overall model structure 3D CAD / CAM systems SINOVATION6.0 in the directly modeling system aspect. On this basis, combining hierarchical management thinking and modular design, respectively, feature recognition module and Direct Modeling module are designed at length..The fifth part, the Direct Modeling application system implementation and testing. This chapter firstly describes the overall realization of the application system, and each module separately for feature recognition and Direct Modeling are described. The questions are collected and tested to make sure the maneuverability of system module. Finally, the paper describes the case of the test system, a detailed description as well.The sixth part summarizes this thesis, and puts forward recommendations for improvement and process improvement about how to improve Direct Modeling system.Finally, the paper briefly introduces the application of mechanical drawing application system, and makes recommendations to further improvement.In summary, based on the analysis of our business needs and ideas on Direct Modeling technology, we design and implement a system of Direct Modeling application system which has application and direction to module industry.
