VHF radar has an advantage in anti-stealth, but the contradiction between angular accuracy and mobility limits on VHF radar application. In order to overcome the above problems,this project uses a distributed aperture coherence-synthetic method, and We built an all-digital distributed VHF radar systems and carry out field experiments to verify this theoretical approach, the key technologies and key performance indicators by measured data.The radar system consists of two sets of array antenna(n = 8), two correction network, two DAM module, timer control panel module, display and control software, data acquisition and signal processing boards and other components. Work manner includes a transmitter calibration, receive correction, simulated target mode, equal time search, variable time search, orthogonal stepping frequency, stepping frequency coheren, quadrature encoder, and full-coherent phase encoding mode. Author mainly responsible for the radar system host computer software design and development and timing control panel Ethernet communication program design. Achieving control of the entire radar system by display control software.Since the operating platform of display control software is a Windows computer operating system, and taking into account the efficiency of software development, this paper select VC ++ 6.0 as a software development environment and use MFC and C ++ coding software. According to the radar system needs work, starting from the point of view of software engineering, The display control software for the functional requirements, data requirements, interface requirements, and reliability requirements analysis. Analyzing the functional requirements, data requirements, interface requirements, and reliability requirements, determine the display and control software development process. According to the requirements of software and this radar system, the software system is divided into the input module, the output module and the Ethernet communication module. Then further refined for each module, dividing into a plurality of sub-modules. Input modules include work options, array parameter settings, system parameter settings, DAM channel settings, simulation target parameter settings, broadband parameter settings and so on. Ethernet port communication module is mainly used for data transmission between the timing control board and display controlsoftware. Output modules mainly achieve display and export of the radar system’s transceiver correction coefficient. At last,the Ethernet communication circuit and display control software and are systemically tested by joint commissioning, and the the design correctness of the two modules is verified.At last, this paper describes the basic principles of network communication, including the structural model of Ethernet, TCP / IP protocol layers, encapsulation and demultiplexing. Timing control panel Ethernet communication module mainly base on DP83865 and FPGA hardware platform, Which DP83865 is responsible for implementing the physical layer functions, FPGA is mainly responsible for implementing packaged data, unpacking and checking process. This process can be divided into MAC-core configuration and TCP / IP protocol coding. With MII interface for data transmission between the physical layer and MAC core chip, Receive and transmit channels are independent channels with data width of 4, and transmission rate can reach 100Mbit/s. the Ethernet communication module in timing control panel use Verilog coding to achieve data encapsulation and unpacking of the TCP / IP protocol layers.
