People’s health is directly affected by the quality of indoor ecologicalenvironment, more and more attentions are paid on their personal safety andproperty security, therefore the research and implementation of the ecology andsecurity system for smart home has a very urgent significance.The researchneeds of a terminal controller for smart home products which are cheap forcivilians are increasingly high, because the current smart home products at homeand abroad is very expensive which are only bought by the rich and someproducts are difficult for ordinary people to handle leading to hard to promote. Akind of ecology and security system for smart home has been researched anddesigned which is built by common hardwares whose structure is simple andwhich is suitable for general home to use.The whole scheme of the ecology and security system for smart home andits hardware circuits and software programs are elaborated in detail in thispaper.C8051F020is used as the main control chip in lower machine in theecology and security system for smart home to accurately acquire indoortemperature, humidity, light intensity, CO density, CO2density andformaldehyde density. The acquired data are displayed in the LCD1602in realtime and uploaded to the post machine by serial port of the microcontroller fordata monitoring, displaying and alarming and the smart control of ecology system for home is implemented.The security of doors and windows as well asthe special circumstances is monitored at the same time. If there is abnormalsituation detected, the system will alarm to warn users, or the information isuploaded to the host computer in the total control room of the community byInternet to call the security guards to deal with it.Through the overall system design, component selection, hardware andsoftware design, fuzzy PID algorithm simulation, debugging, the systemcompleted the design of the entire smart home.The hardware circuit for eachsensor acquisition, power, communications, intelligent curtain control, keys,alarm and display module of the system are designed in detail in this paper.Thesoftware program for each module of lower machine is compiled by C languageand the front panel and block diagram program of the monitoring interface inpost machine is designed by LabVIEW software.A fuzzy PID controller of thesmart curtain is established by using Simulink toolkit in MATLAB and the fuzzyPID control of the smart curtain is achieved.As people increasingly demanding high quality of life, and smart hometechnologies will become increasingly popular, more and more smart homeproducts will enter every household and smart home market has extremely broadprospects for development. It is envisaged in the near future, home life becomesmore efficient and faster, more intelligent and humane.
