As a kind of intelligent spectrum sharing technology, cognitive radio can dynamically access free spectrum and improve the spectrum utilization effectively by sensing the external environment, using artificial intelligence to study the change of external environment characteristics, and adjusting the system parameters adaptively. By introducing the cognitive radio technology into the mobile ad hoc network(MANET), cognitive MANET(CR-MANET) network can be built and deployed flexibly. In CR-MANET network, the primary users distributed within the scope of the communication randomly take up the licensed channels which makes the secondary users’ available channel sets different and change dynamically with the activities of the primary users. In order to find and select the common control channel, rendezvous is a indispensable process. Rendezvous refers to the process of two or more users meeting together on the same channel at the same time and establishing the communication link. In view of the cognitive network, this article researches the control channel selection strategy and algorithm based on the rendezvous technology.1) The current research status, technical features and the differences with MANET network of CR-MANET were summarized. The classification of control channel selection method in cognitive wireless network was introduced, the basic ideas and technical characteristics of all kinds of methods were compared and analyzed.2) On the basis of the extension of AMRCC algorithm, several factors which influence the assessment of channel quality and the channel attributes’ performance requirements of different network scenarios were analyzed. Combining with several attributes of channel, multiple attribute decision making of available channel assessment based on AHP-TOPSIS method with composite weight was carried out. The simulation results showed that multiple attribute decision making can realize the characterization of the available channel assessment’s comprehensiveness preferably considering the subjective preferences of decision makers and the objective changes of attribute parameters.3) Through the comparison and analysis of the exiting control channel selection algorithm based on frequency hopping sequences, combining with the multiple attribute decision making of channel quality assessment, the channel frequency hopping control channel selection algorithm based on the same and different time slots were proposed, and the two algorithms were analyzed in the simulation. The simulation results showed that the frequency hopping algorithm based on the same time slots can reduce the time of control channel selection.
