| With the prevalence of Internet, the relationship between the Internet and people’s lives is becoming increasingly close.This article proposes a smart home video monitor-control system which is based the hardware of ARM and the software of Android system. ARM is known as the most popular member in the field of engineering due to the fact that the function and stability are much better than the general MCU. In order to improve the performance of the platform, this article uses the relatively advanced ARM-core chip named MTK6580 which is produced by the MTK. The application runs on the open source Android system, which eliminates the need of a large of number developing work, such as simple video driver development, moreover, the use of the popular Android mobile phones’ available software can help us design more functions.Based on the research of this paper, the expected effect of the combination of the manipulator and the Internet is achieved. For capturing images, users can control the cradle head by the mobile phone to rotate the camera. In the article, we illustrate the overall design of the project as follow steps. Firstly, the hardware architecture of the Android board is introduced. The high-performance chip named MTK6580 has a high efficiency of image processing and data transmission speed; Then, the motion control board which is responsible for controlling cradle head and charging functions is introduced. The STM32 chip is selected in the board to implement real-time control of DC motors. Finally, it is illustrated that software design of video monitor-control system which includes Android system APPs and the program of the motion control of STM32. A battery charging circuit is designed to overcome the problems that occur in using external power supply in the market products. It has been tested that the architecture can be used for security and smart home related with product design. After implementing the Peripheral Circuits, it can be used in universities, training institutions or other fields for the education purposes. |
