At present, with the continuous increase of investment in higher education, college infrastructure construction efforts have been strengthened, the hardware running condition is improved. Especially in the construction of the school library, many colleges and universities both in improving the hardware environment and in the configuration software environment, have undergone significant progress and change. And this task to the design and development of library management system seats, the starting point is for the library reading room seating resource management inefficiencies of the current widespread. Through the reading room, seat, seat state information, the student user and seat illegal record information in the process of using, the digital information is organized and contact. Designed and developed a set of special management information system, the data information and the link between each other for effective treatment and the scientific management, don’t only make the management more just, fair, but also save a large amount of manpower. Managers can realize the efficient management of seat resources and real-time release of seat information, so as to solve the seat relative shortage and make seat resources more reasonable, more fair and more fully shared by users just with a simple operation.First of all, this topic to a university in Tianjin as development background, the investigation of daily use and management of library reading room seat information. Based on the analysis of the reading room seat management on the basis of the status and the main problem, the article completes the process analysis and design of the system, and then clears the main function requirements of the system. Secondly, the article also elaborates library seats management system design ideas, and analyses the modeling process of the system design by the use of UML modeling methods. Finally, this paper also discusses the related techniques used in the management system, studies the method to achieve student authentication using RFID technology and proposed a method of using infrared sensors to monitor the status of the seat.
