In our modern society, internet is almost everywhere. It is not only the channel ofinformation dissemination and tool of communication, but also the market of commoditycirculation. Apparel goods, as the most populous goods of online retail, the scale and brandsof which are more and more emphasized by online retailers. Many designer clothes start toattach importance to the online consumption channels and at the same time, many apparelbrands are formed specifically for the online consumption channels, which have a significantimpact on the apparel consumption market. Buyer operating system, as a highly efficientbusiness operating system, has been widely applied in the online market which is high-pacedwith demands rapidly changing, and becoming the best choice of B2C apparel vendors.In this article, the B2C consumption market and the buyer operating system will bebriefly introduced, and the adaptability of buyer operating system to B2C will be illustratedin detail by relevance analysis of these two notions. By verifying online apparel consumptionenvironment’s impact on apparel product development, the key points of B2C apparel brandswill be obtained, and by combining with the buyer operating system, the applicationprocedure of it on the online market will be summarized in this article. In the conclusion ofthis article, the product development process under buyer operating system will be illustrated.It is hoped this article will provide some theoretical help for the product development of boththe B2C apparel brands and traditional apparel brands demanding to broaden their onlinedistribution channels.
