The21st century is no longer a competitive product prices, features, servicesand other low-end competition, but also in corporate human resources for the fight.Pharmaceutical R&D companies succeed in new challenges in an invincibleposition, we must break through the traditional human resource management, andenhance awareness of modern performance management, the establishment of aneffective performance appraisal system to drive business performance improvement.This paper describes the performance management system theory and methods,while elaborated pharmaceutical R&D business characteristics, pharmaceutical R&D enterprise development cycle is long, developed many links and has greatuncertainty. Analyzes the current pharmaceutical R&D enterprise commonproblems, dig up the deeper causes. In this paper, theoretical and applied researchmethod of combining, mainly through literature, lessons learned, case studies made,questionnaires law organizational behavior research methods to the pharmaceuticalR&D enterprise performance management research, adhere to the qualitativeanalysis and quantitative estimation combined. Then, the author of S CorporationResearch Institute, for example, analysis of the company’s R&D performancemanagement problems, combined with the S Corporation’s strategic objectives,business and characteristics of pharmaceutical R&D companies proposedcountermeasures to improve the performance appraisal system, the use of KPIestablish performance management model designed to meet the characteristics ofenterprises, scientific and effective, practical performance management system.This paper argues that the implementation of performance management is notonly timely motivate staff for good performance, can also be given for the lazy staffsupervision, to fully exploit the advantages and potential employees. Performancemanagement as an effective means of enterprise management in evaluating andmotivating employees, and enhance the vitality and competitiveness, and promoteenterprise development and enhance their market position, etc., play a crucial role.Establishing business characteristics, scientific and effective, practical performancemanagement system for the rapid development of enterprises will undoubtedly playa huge role in promoting.
