Since1970s, the economy, politics and culture of China has sustainably and rapidlydeveloped with the great progress of scientific technology and innovation. As a result, the roleof knowledge in economic and social development seems more and more prominent.Competition of intellectual property, particularly patents competition has become a strategichigh ground in the development and progress of the company. Patent strategy is considered tobe the secret of dominating the market with competitive advantage and achieving besteconomic efficiency, and also an important part of the business development strategy.Solar photovoltaic industry is strategic emerging industry of China. Development ofsolar photovoltaic industry is important for the adjustment of energy structure, promotion ofenergy production, reform of consumption patterns, and ecological civilization construction.Nano-crystalline silicon solar cells as the third generation of solar cells, can conductelectricity without P-N junction. And because of its giant conductivity, changeable bandgapand covering all the spectrum characteristics, its photoelectric conversion rate is significantlyhigher than the first, second solar cells with less cost of expensive materials. In recent years,our solar photovoltaic industry has developed rapidly, but there are still several issues thatcannot be ignored. As a whole it still faces the "three out" situation, that is, raw materials,market and the core technology out situation. Therefore, to strengthen the competitiveness ofour photovoltaic industry, improving the competitive advantage of our photovoltaic patents inthe fierce international competition, build long-term industry patent strategy is particularlyimportant.Firstly the study builds enterprise patent strategy framework based on the relevantliterature on patent strategy. Secondly, it describes the situation of the relevant technicalbackground of the solar industry and nano-crystalline silicon photovoltaic solar field. Then,searching related patents in the field of nano-silicon solar cell, analyzing patents byInnography to understand the status of technical, economic, legal aspects, includingtechnology trends, major competitors, the patent regional distribution and core patents andother information, and a detailed analysis of the key enterprises of patent cases. Finally,combined with the status of nano-crystalline silicon photovoltaic solar field, the study makestechnical, economic and legal aspects of patent strategy to enhance the development ofinnovation and the core competitiveness of China’s photovoltaic solar industry.
