In recent years, along with a growing number of multinational trade andinvestment on a global scale, the traditional forms of trade and industry in the country isincreasingly dilute international perspective, international trade and internationalinvestment in micro-enterprises as the center of an increasingly common. The focus ofinternational trade in the field of research has shifted from the traditional industrialcountries and the macro level to the micro level enterprises and products. As a result,the enterprise heterogeneity characteristics of the new-new trade theory emerged. As the main export activity-export enterprises, on the onehand characterized by the presence of many differences, on the other hand there aresignificant differences in the behavior of foreign export enterprises and export of localexporters.Based on this background, this paper Melitz heterogeneous enterprise businessmodel for the new new trade theory as a starting point, the use of micro data1998-2007Chinese manufacturing enterprises, the use of STATA12measurement software, test thetheory of heterogeneous enterprise trade applicability on the basis of China, from thefull sample, sub-type of business (foreign and local companies) two angles empiricalenterprise productivity, firm size, human capital, technological innovation, businesstype, business ownership, corporate sunk costs heterogeneity of factors affecting theindustry and region as well as control variables on export behavior in order to select anddevelop strategies for the Chinese government trade export trade practices, provideempirical evidence from the micro perspective. The research found:(1) In14sectors there are six sectors in line with theheterogeneity of enterprise trade theory, eight industrys does not comply, whether theheterogeneity of the enterprise trade theory, and the industry itself characteristics.(2)the full sample study found that business productivity, firm size and export intensitywas significantly negatively correlated with the Chinese export industries which exportcompetitiveness rely mainly on labor cost advantage related; technological innovation,the proportion of foreign investment, sunk costs and export strength a significantpositive correlation, the largest marginal impact of sunk costs, the proportion of foreigninvestment, followed by the impact of technological innovations minimum; impact ofhuman capital, industry-specific effects, region-specific effects on export strengthsignificantly.(3) sub-type of business study found that corporate productivity, sunkcosts, human capital, industry-specific effects, region-specific effects of foreign andlocal enterprises export impact strength of the same, and the conclusion is consistentwith the full sample; scale enterprises and local enterprises export strength significantnegative correlation with foreign export intensity is not relevant, because the vastmajority of domestic export enterprises are SMEs, while foreign companies to enter thedomestic market is usually already decided before their export behavior; technologicalinnovation and the strength of local enterprises export a significant positive associatedwith foreign irrelevant, indicating mainly through foreign direct introduction of foreignadvanced production equipment and purchase to get export competitiveness, mainlythrough the efforts of local enterprises to improve their own ability to innovate to gainexport competitiveness.
