With the rapid development of enterprise clusters, effective governance of enterprisecluster has become a core issue and the efficiency boundary receives immenseattention. The formation of enterprise cluster is an important condition to enhance theindustry competitive advantage. In the cluster expansion process, the advantages of scaleeconomy is increasing. Due to external invisible knowledge spillover bringing positivebenefits, which will attract a large number of enterprises in the cluster to share the excessprofit. However, cluster can not expand immoderately. When the cluster expansion speedexceeds the limit that the market can load, the cluster will start to a recession. As a resultof intensive enterprises cluster, the differences in cognitive environment reducegradually, the product innovation is insufficient, market demand shrunks dramatically. The direct consequences are cluster cost rising rapidly, economies of scale disappearingand the enterprises within the cluster transferring. The enterprise enhancingself-protection will eventually produce negative cluster effects to rigidity. Especiallyin the vast majority of domestic industrial parks are planned by the government, theendogenous embeddedness is weak, correlation of industry and technology is not strong, opportunity absence between individual sinter dependent industry network of division oflabor and resource will be in recession. Thus, the negative effect of boundary expansionfor clusters of economic activity is becoming more and more important. The above analysis points out that economy of scale contains a moderate scale. Theeffective size is neither more nor less much. So how to expand the boundaries of theclusters is appropriate? What are the factors that influence the boundary equilibrium?Based on the above background and reasons, research on the governance of enterprisecluster boundary has an extremely important theoretical value and a wide range ofpractical significance. Previous studies on these problems are around the mainstreameconomics, less paying much on the location factors into consideration. Or theyconsidered the location factors, not combining with the cluster technology innovation, ignoring the heterogeneity of cluster products.Papers will study the cluster boundary problem from the perspective of spatialeconomics. The main research contents is divided into six chapters: The first chapterintroduces the research background, and based on the domestic and foreign developmentsituation puts forward the purpose, significance of the topic, research methods and framework. The second chapter starts from the cluster of space and the network properties.Evaluating the results of previous studies and analysising resistance factors that affect thecluster expansion, which provide the coordinate evolution for the cluster boundaryregularity. The third chapter focuses on the specific path of cluster expansion, anddiscusses the influence of the location decision of cluster boundary. In the fourth chapter, using the Salop circular location model to cluster regional architecture andC Dutilityfunction extended microscopic equations to theoretical research. We obtained that thecore factors affecting equilibrium boundary are negotiations coefficient and marketcapacity. The fifth chapter is based on the previous conclusion, then puts forward specificproposals for the governance of the cluster boundaries. The sixth chapter makes researchwork of the whole thesis summarized.
