In recent years, the domestic economy is also facing a lot of risks and challenges,with the slowdown in economic growth. And there are two complex problems arehighlighted in the traditional manufacturing factory. Firstly, the production lineoperators are much younger than before, so they used to not be stable and usuallyleave factory. Secondly, the manufacturing costs are increased every year because ofthe more expensive materials and higher salary. This paper start to research from theproduction line quick changeover management,how to work out and put quickchangeover into practice,and establish the standard management processes forenhance the competitiveness of our company.Quick changeover(SMED)is an organized process, the implementation of quickchangeover is able to cut down the changeover time, to make sure that the productionline can produce the qualified products as soon as possible. It can also help to reduceproduction WIP and reduce storage area without affecting the normal productionoperations. SMED, it is means that Single Minute Exchange of Die, in the early1950s originated in Japan by Shigeo Shingo developed in the Toyota company,originally used in automobile production plant to achieve rapid moldswitching(Exchange of Dies).SMED is a way to find the root cause why thechangeover time is so long and how to reduce the changeover time.This paper study and explain the theories about how to quick changeover firstly,they are Lean Production and SMED two concepts. They are also guideline andfoundation. Secondly, this paper collect the changeover time data, find the root cause,analysis and solve the problems and bottleneck by the SMED theory.And then, we design the new process how to changeover, how to implement thegood methods and we set up the standard operation process. Finally, we summarizethe experience and share the benefit and performance.This study results the electronics industry for producing fast can learn from theexperience provided by the optimization and utilization of internal resources to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.....
