In recent years, the competition between enterprises with construction projects isbecoming more fierce, and companies are putting more attention on cost control. Therefore,many companies try to improve cost control ability with various methods. However, problemsmay arise from those methods of cost control. According to this, judging from the reality ofour country, with the cost control case of company J as research background, analysingcurrent cost control methods and problem, and raise methods of improvement and conclusionaccording to this issue, in order to gain the possible best cost control outcome, and a higherprofit.This article first summarize domestic and international research progress, including theclassical theory of project cost control and the latest research results. At the same time,introduced the theory of project cost control. Above these, J ’s cost control status was studiedand the main problems of the cost control process in J is discovered. Finally a solution of JCompany’s cost control problems have been raised:Reasonable decomposition of cost management goals, establishment of a detailedevaluation index, Utmost achieving the company’s strategic goals, the establishment ofeffective funding cost control system. reducing hidden costs of purchase, Technologyinnovation and improved product quality, Explicit control of key funding projects.
