Research On The Sustainable Development Of Resource-based City

Resource-based cities depend on the supply of natural resources, through thedevelopment of natural resources, gradually set up industrial city. In the new situation, its main restricting factors of development lies in a single industrial structure, slow economic development, environmental pollution, ecological deteriorating, These cities facethe potential crisis of unsustainable development.In this paper, we deeply analyze the resource-based cities sustainable development related theory, referent important experts’ research. The resource-based city-Baotou city is divided into four subsystems: society system, economy systems, environment systems, resources systems. We make the Baotou city as the research object, and make comprehensive evaluation about the level of the sustainable development of2003-2012years. Finally, we put thorough analysis on the evaluation result.Thesis adopts the principle of principal component analysis, entropy theory and grey correlation theory. We calculate the comprehensive score of each subsystem of Baotou city, the results show that social subsystem and economic subsystem scores is higher than the resources subsystem, environment subsystem scores. Considerin the different evaluation methods of the evaluation results may inconsistent.In this paper, the combination evaluation method is based on consistency, we introduce the concept: level of sustainable development, sustainable level and the overall of the sustainable development level. We build the appraisal model, and the evaluation resultsshow that between2003-2012, Baotou city sustainable development ability is in a state of steady rise, coordinate transition from jarring to the basic state, then tend to increase sustainable development, slowly weakening, embodied sustainable development ability and the coordinated ability from poor state, gradually turned to sustainable development ability, the coordinated ability is stronger, the transition to sustainable development ability and the coordinated ability are strong. According to the above research conclusion, we make suggestions from the abilities of social development, economic development, the environment supporting capacity, resource support ability.The paper proposed the implementation of social security, cultivating new economic growth point, the implementation of green mining city and enhance the sustainable utilization.
