Study On The Evaluation Of Land Use Efficiency In The Town Of Southeast Coastal Areas

How to make rational utilization of the land resources and promote the use of land saving andrealize the sustainability of economy, society, ecology, environment are the major task our countryfaces. In recent years, as urbanization speeds up, the economic development and expansion of thecity need more lands and it also puts forward higher requirements for the land use efficiency. Townareas play a vital role in cohesion in the process to undertake the urban development. At the sametime, as the town area’s unique characteristics of economic development and the land use status,the carrying capacity of environment and ecology is relatively weak. At present, the constructionlands have could not meet the requirement of current economic development. However, thephenomenon of waste land is also serious. Therefore, under the premise of limited resources,improve the land’s level of intensive and economical is an important way to solve the currentshortage of land resources and it’s also the way to alleviate the human-land conflict. Land useefficiency evaluation is the premise to use the land economically and intensively. And it couldprovide a reference for the intensive use of land. So how to reasonably evaluate the land useefficiency become an important research for the land use and land management.This study makes understand the situation of efficiency of town land use in southeast coastalarea as its purpose. According to the statistical and survey data of land use change in Cixi, Ningbofrom2003to2012and the data of the top100counties in2011, Zhejiang province, the evaluationindex system of land use efficiency was tried to be established, which included3layers and14specific indicators from the aspects of economic benefit, social benefit, ecological benefit. Weevaluated the time serial change law of town land use in Cixi and appraised the spatial variationcharacteristics of cultivated land use of the top100counties in Zhejiang through the efficacycoefficient method. Based on the results of the evaluation of land use efficiency, we analyzed thedriving force of intensive land use and the coordination degree of land utilization benefits.The evaluation results agree with the actual situation. It shows that the weighted entropymethod and the efficacy coefficient method can reasonably evaluate the land use efficiency. Andthe indicators for the town’s land use efficiency could reasonably reflect the actual situation of thestudy area. The results also show that the temporal variability of land use efficiency is obvious andthe level of land use efficiency increased volatility. And it also shows that the land use efficiency indifferent areas is different and the land use efficiency is not synchronized. And it also shows thatthe land use efficiency have some relationships with the level of economic development and theeconomic development structure.
