As one of the ten major pig-producing areas in China, Anhui province brought a greatcontribution to the pig-breeding industry of China. In1988, The output value of porkreached0.39billion, was in the50percent of the total output value of animal husbandry,to1999,the value over5times to1.87billion,in the52percent of the total in output value ofanimal husbandry. With the development of economic of Anhui Province, the new technologyand mangement about pig-farming have been introduced, pig breeding is into the period ofscale-breeding,the pig industry has a great development, in2011, the slaughter capacity andthe mount of livestoct on hand of pig-farming respectively reach27.821million and14.425million. The production of pork reached2.388million tons which is the63.6percent ofthe total output of meat. The output value of pork is43.25billion yuan, accounting for50%ofthe total of animal husbandry. Therefore, the pig industry plays a leading role in the animalhusbandry of Anhui province.Since the21st century, the Chinese industry of pig-breeding is in the stage of developingthat is general in scale-breeding. But the overall benefit of pig-breeding is relatively low. Therefore, trying to seek the way to improve economic efficiency in Anhui province isconducive to enhancing the competitiveness of pig-breeding and to raising the level offarmers’ income. The scale of Anhui pig-breeding is divided into four types: backyard, thesmall-scale, the medium-sized,and the large-sized. The cost of the four modes ofpig-breeding constitutes a certain degree of similarity, the similarly cost of each culturemodel constitutes also has its own characteristics. The paper is combining with the presentsituation of pig-breeding to analyze the scale-breeding of Anhui province, according to thetheory of economics of scale, production theory and the theory of cost and profit, usingcomparative analysis, historical analysis and descriptive statistics analysis to study the pig ofscale-breeding. Using Cobb-Douglas production function (C-D function) and multipleregression model analyze the main impact of pig scale-breeding.In Anhui Province, four kinds of pig-breeding methods, the cost of large-scale farmingnewborn animal and feed costs is the highest, small and medium-sized newborn animal priceis relatively low, backyard costs of forage is lowest; the costs of labor from small-scale tolarge-scale are reduced in turn overall, and with the expansion of the scale, the average cost oflabor per pig are in reducing, which family labor gradually become less, hired quantitiesprogressively larger. In terms of cost-benefit ratio, the highest income rate of small-scale,medium-sized yields secondly, then the scale, and finally backyard. Considering the cost-benefit ratio and quantity, Medium-sized scale can be the best. In terms of benefit,large-scale farming is best, medium-scale farming is better, backyard costs of forage is worst. The common character in the four kinds, the benefit is not stable but very fluctuant. For production, the increase of fine feed and the selection of pig weight larger is aeffective way to improve the yield of pig. Secondly, the scale factors have significant effecton yield, under the same conditions, the medium-scale farming is optimal. In the value ofoutput, the increase of forage and quantity of artifical, and the selection of pig weight larger, can improve the benefit of pig effectively. In addition, the scale factor is not significant topig-feeding in benefit.
