In the70s of twentieth century, Gongqing people started to produce downclothing because of the poultry industry. Relying on the excellent quality and policysupport of government,Gongqing down clothing industry became the pillar industryof Gongqing city and have a certain influence in the domestic. In the article, I willstudying on industrial upgrading of Gongqing down clothing industry. From therelevant research literature, there is no uniform definition of industrial upgrading inacademia. Mainly concentrated in two aspects, one aspect is defined as the change ofthe three industry structure. The other aspect is defined of referring to a particularindustry departments from junior to senior, from low productivity to high productivity,low added value to high value added, from labor-intensive to capital, technologyintensive development process. Based on the theory of the industrial chain of clothing,I redefined the industry upgrading: is advance of industrial quality and efficiency.industrial upgrading is a process of the internal structure optimization and thecoordinated development of related industries.According to the definition, the industrial upgrading of Gongqing down clothingindustry should include the optimization of internal structure of industry andupgrading of apparel industry chain. It is necessary to upgrade because of the lowlevel of products, the weak R&D capability, and low-end apparel industry chain.Because of the political advantage, excellent location and good brand influence, theGongqing down clothing industry industrial upgrading easy success, so the industrialupgrading of Gongqing down clothing industry can success easily.In the article, I will study the industrial upgrading, the clothing industry chain anddevelopment of Gongqing down clothing industry.
