Research On The Influencing Factors Of Technology Spillover Effect Of Service FDI In Jiangsu

Economy can be promoted by resources both from home and abroad. As one of the largest FDIinflow provinces in China, Jiangsu is putting more emphasis on the development of service industrythese years. Under this condition, how to make full use of FDI will be an essential issue in promotingthe development of Jiangsu service industry, and even the whole regional economy.In the view of technology spillover effects, this article uses time series and panel data to inspectthe existence of technology spillovers from service FDI in Jiangsu. And based on the results of theinspection, it concludes and examines the factors that influence the spillover effects.The conclusions are:(1) In the service industry, both intra-industry and inter-industry spillovereffects are insignificant;(2) The spillover effects of Jiangsu service FDI are obvious in themanufacturing industry, through backward and forward linkages;(3) The stimulus to the spillovereffects of Jiangsu service FDI includes: the level of postal and telecom, the level of localmanufacturing technology and the extent of sole proprietorship of Jiangsu service FDI; the constraintsare the technology gap between local and Hongkong-Macao-Taiwan invested enterprises in themanufacturing industry, and the openness of local service industry.In the end, the article provides policy suggestions promoting the spillover effect of service FDI inJiangsu, so as to help improve the efficiency of using FDI in this area.
