The Financial Support Issuesof Strategic Emerging Industry In Western Region

In the context of the international financial crisis, western countries have focused on theemerging industries, high-tech industries and other strategic emerging industries. Our countrygovernment assessed the situation, and made the major policy decisions about cultivating anddeveloping strategic emerging industries in2010, including the new energy, new materials, anew generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, energyconservation and environmental protection, biological medicine and new energy vehiclesindustry. The western region is now in the important period of industrial structure optimizingand economic growth transforming, strategic emerging industry is put forward to point out thedirection for the future of the industry development in western region.Strategic emerging industry is the fusion of emerging science and emerging industries, itis characterized by the high investment, high risk and high return, and finance as the core ofmodern economy development plays a fundamental role in the growth of strategic emergingindustry, broad and sustained financial support is an important guarantee for the developmentof strategic emerging industry. The strategic emerging industry foundation is weak, the levelof financial development lag behind in western region, therefore, how to improve theefficiency of financial support for strategic emerging industry and perfect the financial supportsystem will be a problem in the western region to be solved urgently.In this paper, we study the financial support issues of strategic emerging industry inwestern region. First of all, reviewing from the perspective of the strategic emergingindustries and financial support theory, using qualitative analysis method to read and extendthe concept and characteristics of strategic emerging industries; then using the quantitativeanalysis method to analyze the development of strategic emerging industries and the status offinancial support in western region, pointing out that the financial support for the strategicemerging industries in western region exist mangy problems such as: the policy financialsupport is not enough, the indirect financial system is not perfect and the securities marketfinancing is difficult; this paper is based on the national regions as samples;Then through the empirical research method to base on the106listed companies of strategic emerging industry inwestern region as samples, selecting the industry output value, bank loans and equity financingthree indicators to make the empirical analysis by establishing the panel data model for thefinancial support effect of the strategic emerging industry in western regions, it turned out that thedirect financing effect of strategic emerging industries is better than indirect financing effect inwesternareas; Finally, putting forwardthe appropriate countermeasures and suggestions based onthe existing problemsand analysis resultsof financial support for the strategic emerging industryinwestern regions, mainly including: strengthening policy-oriented financial support, perfecting theindirect financial support system, and developing securities market financing channel.
