Through investigation and analysis of Qinhuangdao grape industry, the paperpoints out the problems existing in the grape industry. Combining the grape industryin foreign countries as a reference with the current situation of the development ofgrape industry in our country at present stage, it analyses the existing problems, putsforward the countermeasures to the development of grape industry in the future andprovides certain guidance to the healthy development of the grape industry.The research results show that Qinhuangdao has rich varieties of planting grapes,of which fresh food varieties are mainly made up of Giant Peak and Rose Fragrance,wine varieties made up of Cabernet Sauvignon. Precocious product accounts forabout17%of the total area, the ripe varieties for78%, late varieties for about5%; theprofit of A17seedless variety per mu was the highest, followed in the ranking by RedGlobe, Moldova, Rose Fragrance and Giant Peak; Farmers rely on the experience oflong-term planting to manage the grape planting base, which fails to fully followscientific nature and needs relevant departments to give technical guidance. Moreover,they put harvest of the grapes before quality. Greenhouse grape planting has begun totake shape, so grapes can be provided from the end of May to the middle ofNovember. Greenhouses grape gets ripe in a short period, so it is most profitable; coldshed grape takes one month longer to be ripe than Greenhouses grape, so profit rankssecond; outdoor grape takes the longest in period, so profits lowest. The age of grapegrowing population ranges between35to60. Farmers under35are not willing to beengaged in grape cultivation. Local government has almost no relevant supportingpolicies for grape cultivation, and farmers training opportunities are not available,therefore, enthusiasm for promotion of ecological planting is not high. Only irrigation,chemical pesticides, soil cover in winter are carried out by mechanical operation. onlysome farmers bury the root. Farmers are generally equipped with a antbird net, andexpel birds with cannons. The problems found after investigation are as follows: lackof scale management, lack of organization and planning; Standardization lag, low degree of mechanization, production management mode backward, improvement ofcommodity quality; The lack of leading enterprises, The lack of cultivation ofgovernment policy, the enthusiasm of young people engaged in planting. And somecountermeasures are put forward accordingly.
