Study On The Coupling Effect Between The Level Of The Tourism Industrial Structure And The Level Of Urban Development Of Shandong Province

Since the reform and opening up, with the rapid development of the tourismindustry, its industry is in a rising status. However, while the tourism industry is inthe rapid development and expansion, the tourism industrial structure industry andoptimization has been a hotspot commonly concern to academia. As an importanttourism destination vector, the city plays a key role on raising the level of thetourism industrial industry; in turn, the raising level of the tourism industrialstructure can finally prompt the city to improve the level of urban development.Based on the related theories and methods of tourism science, city scienceeconomic science, management science and other related disciplines, the thesis takes17cities of Shandong province as the research object, trys to construct the compositeindex system of the level of the tourism industrial structure and the level of Urbandevelopment, to further analysis the coupling development mechanism and the mainfactors of the coupling effects between them, and put forward the correspondingsuggestions and proposals. The main researches are as follows:(1) With the expansion of the tourism industry scale in Shandong province, thestructural problems of the tourism industry which includes strongresource-dependent, irrational inputs of all various departments, low income of highelasticity demand sector, low efficiency of the structure highlighted; to some extent,the level of urbanization characterized the urban development, however, irrationalindustrial structure, deformities of social development, poor quality of ecologicalenvironment hindered the further development of the city. Based on these status, theindictor system of the level of the tourism industrial structure is built from therationalization、sophistication and effectiveness of the tourism industrial structure,meanwhile, the index system of the level of the urban development is constructed from three aspects: economical development, social construction and ecologicalenvironment, it can ensure the accuracy and objectivity of the research results.(2)According to the composite index system, the study period is from2001to2011, the weighted average method is used, both of the level of the tourism industrialstructure and the level of urban development including17cities in Shandongprovince are calculated, and the SPSS software is used to analyze the linearcorrelation between them. Based on the composite index, both of the couplingdegree and the coupling coordination degree are used to analyze systemically thecoupling coordination degree between them from the perspective of both the timingand spatial; the gray correlation model is used to measure the impact factors of thecoupling effect of them, social development is the major factor which affects thelevel of the tourism industrial structure, and the rationalization of the tourismindustry structure is the most important feedback factors which affect the level of theurban development.(3)Reference to the composite index of both the level of the tourism industrialstructure and the level of the urban development, in add to the coupling results ofthem, combining the resources, traffic location, socioeconomic status, the policy ofthe urban development of each city in Shandong province,17cities of Shandongprovince are divided into three coupling models in the article, the first couplingmodel is taking the level of the tourism industrial structure to the main power, thesecond one is taking the level of the urban development to the main power, and thelast one is taking mixing the two to the main power. According to both the majorfactors of the coupling effects between them and the main coupling models, in orderto strengthen the coupling coordination development of them, the thesis puts forwardto the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions including strengtheningsophistication to promote city development、 enhancing the impact of urbaneconomic development on the level of the tourism industrial structure、promoting thecoupling coordinated development between the tourism industrial structure and city.
