Insurance Industry, as a kind of financialservice sector, its informationization construction level directly affects the enterprise’score competitiveness and has caught general attention in insurance industry. Yet, as acomplicated work and plan, it calls for deep research to reach informationizationconstruction successes in the company and the insurance industry. This paper takesXX Insurance Company Co., Ltd as the study object, analyses the company’sinformationization construction status quo, and comes up with correspondingsolutions. It has great practical significance in the informationization constructioncourse to XX Insurance Company and even to the whole insurance industry as well asin improving the insurance company’s informationization construction quality.This paper, on the basis of explaining the basic theory of insurance and itsinformationization, analyzes the status quo, the characteristics and the existing majorissues of XX Insurance Company. At the beginning of its development, theinformationization development plan and construction of XX Insurance Company hasnot conducted a complete and meticulous survey and its information system has nothave an overall planning. Along with the highly developed company business, it isdifficult for the present informationization construction to accommodate to the marketenvironment it’s facing, the insurance industry supervising requirements and the longterm plan of the business development.
