Study On Logistics Distribution Center Location Of Serving Area On Expressway In Shandong

Logistics distribution center as the new commodity collection and distributioncenter, which connects the supply point and the demand point, is a product of thedevelopment of logistics industry development. With the rapid development ofChinese highway, expressway service areas’ number and scale are constantly rising,and expressway service areas’ status and role in the highway system are becomingincreasingly important. However, due to Long-term heavy construction, lightmanagement on expressway service areas, and service area has been using "individual-contract responsibility system " management mode since the constructionof expressway service area has been completed, all enterprises of service areaprovided procurement and distribution services for themselves. This wouldundoubtedly lead to a lot of waste of resources, not only affect the development of theenterprises in service area, but also affect the efficient operation of the highwaytransportation system.For improving the logistics distribution efficiency of expressway service area,the key is still on the logistics distribution center location of serving area onexpressway. Because scientific and reasonable location can reduce all kinds oftransportation cost, improve the efficiency of distribution and operation. The currenttheoretical research mainly focuses on the logistics distribution of expressway servicearea, and has achieved some success. But there are few studies on logisticsdistribution center location of serving area on expressway. Therefore, this article putsShandong expressway service area as the research object, using qualitative andquantitative analysis to study logistics distribution center location of serving area onexpressway in Shandong. This study can provide valuable experience for the logisticsdistribution center location of serving area on expressway in Shandong, which has avery important theoretical value and practical significance.Firstly, I make literature review from two aspects of expressway service arealogistics distribution and logistics distribution center location, and introduce therelated theories of the distribution center location, expressway service area and themodel of expressway service area logistics distribution. Secondly, I introduce themanagement status and development of logistics distribution of Shandong expressway service areas. I mainly discuss the choice of logistics distribution mode in Shandongexpressway service area and summarize the important significance of the constructionof logistics distribution center in Shandong expressway service area. Thirdly, I selectan optimal position, which transportation cost is the least, through the center ofgravity method in all Shandong expressway service area. Because of the logisticsdistribution center will be built on the idle land in the expressway service area, andthe selected optimal location that used by center of gravity method is not inexpressway service area. So I choose three points, which is closest to the optimalpoint of service area, i.e., Jinan service area, Yucheng service area and Tianqiaoservice area as the alternative address of expressway service area logistics distributioncenter. Finally, using qualitative and quantitative analysis, which is the fuzzycomprehensive evaluation model based on entropy weight method to select the bestone that Jinan service area as a final address from the three options address above.
