Gradually, the financial market of China has been more and more mature in recent years. Intermediary business has been being an important source of commercial Banks to increase their revenue because of its low cost, high yield, low risk. Besides, it can also benefit the customer contact, service, the traditional assets and liabilities business. With more foreign commercial banks stepping into China’s financial market, intermediary business has gradually become one of the core business of modern commercial banks, and the meaning of middle business in commercial bank has being furthered significantly. Private bank licenses were issued in2013, and the competitions among our commercial banks becomes more fierce. At the end of every month, commercial banks will absorb a mass of deposit. The competitions of traditional Debt and Asset transactions which are going to be developed into a war. Intermediary business of commercial banks is now on the important developing stage, and becoming more and more crucial in banks’self-development. With China’s financial market becoming more open and due to the raising up of rural commercial bank and internet finance, the market need turns into much more diversified. All the issues make the traditional business of commercial banks fade down quickly.B branch of N bank is located in high developed regions of Beijing, whose economy is relatively advanced and many financial institutions are located there. Highly competitions in assets and liabilities transactions between Banks business lead to less efficiency. If the B branch bank wants to increase its revenue, it must pay attention to the intermediary business.In this paper, we first analysis the external environment of intermediary business of B branch bank including political and economical environment, competition environment, and customer demand environment. Secondly, we use the methods of horizontal comparison and vertical comparison to analyze the varieties of intermediary business of products, scales, income, and marketing. We find some problems in intermediary business, like lacking of product variety, low profits, small scale, marketing process unstandardlised. In the end, this paper proposes intermediary business developing polices, including demand finding, optimizing marketing and product quality, and decreasing risk based on the practical situations.
