Study On Cultivated Land Changes And Its Driving Force In Ruoqiang County

As an important land use type cultivated land is the sources of human’s food andclothes and it is also the important material foundation for human’s survival anddevelopment. Cultivated land use change and protection have become the importantcomponents of land-use/land-cover change. Strengthening the research of cultivatedland use change and analyzing the driving factors which affact changes of cultivatedland use are of great bebefit to use the arable land reasonably, Meanwhile these willensure the regional food security, adjust the agricultural structure and promote theregional economics and environmental developments.In this paper, Bazhou Ruoqiang County farmland as research subjects,County-level administrative region as the statistical unit, Based on the population andcultivated data during1949to2012and historical data of socio-economicdevelopments during1999to2012, analyzed temporal and spatial changecharacteristic of the cultivated land of Ruoqiang. And then, main factors of drivingforces in cultivated land change was analyzed by the principal analysis. the resultsshowed that:(1) in64years, Ruoqiang County cultivated land experieced differenttrends, it can be divited into four phases: the first is the Ccounty’s cultivated landshowed an increasing trend during1949to1960,from1949to1960, cultivated landhas been rising from1526.67hm2to3660hm2, average annual increase rate ofcultivated land is193.94hm2. the second, The quantity curves of cultivated land hasbeen declining undulatingly during1961to2001. the third, cultivated land has beenrising speedly during this phases. As to speed up the construction of the optimal redjujube base as the goal,expended jujube area continuely, Thus reclaiming wastelandhot is rised right off.fourth,the county cultivated area was kept not changesignificantly,Slow declined. the per capita cultivated land of Ruoqiang has been risedtwo times and dropped two times. the rate of change of different cultivated land ofRuoqiang was obviusly different.(2) The result of qualitative and quantitative analysis shows that: the level of socio-economic development,advances in agriculturaltechnology, population and adjustment of agricultur structural factor could besummed up as the main factors of changing cultivated land in Ruoqiang.(3) Based onthe result of qualitative and quantitative analysis, countermeasures were proposedfrom the perspective of laes, regulation, policy, economic and technical means，food security，water conservancy construction and so on.
