In this paper,I take the Fuhe River Valley as the central area which is acrossed bythe administrative regional government Jianchang and Fuzhou Prefectures. Andchoose the development and changes of the village market as the starting point, byinvestigating the village market structure,the types of goods,the bazaars number,themerchant types,and the affect range of market during the Ming and QingDynasties,in order to show the change process of the Fuhe River Basin commodityeconomy.The author believes that in the Ming and Qing dynasties, with the contradictionbetween people and land and the regional exchanges being deepen and expand, aswell as changes in social structure and social climate shift, the Fuzhou businessmen orabandonedn Confucianism business, or inherited his father. They took advantage ofthe abundant agricultural resources in this area(refering to labor, cash crops, etc.) toproduce ramie, indigo, sugar cane, tobacco and other products, and has achieved greatsuccess. The development of commodity economy both reappeared the characteristicsof the economic development of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and showed thecharacteristics of their own local conditions, with a powerful force and vitality.
