Ming and Qing dynasties,were the period whose commodity economydeveloped relatively fast in the ancient China. The economic development of theevery regions of have similarities under specific historical background, also there aredifferences based on the natural conditions and human environment.Qin He rivers from north to south, through southeastern Shanxi andnorthwestern Henan, located the border zone that between Loess Plateau and theNorth China Plain. This river includes upper, middle and lower reaches of three parts.Upstream areas are relatively poor due to natural conditions, industrial andcommercial develop slowly. The other regions, since the Ming and Qing dynasties,rely on the rich mineral resources and favorable geographical advantages, formingmany commercial counties which specialized handicraft production and intensiveresource.This paper analyzes natural environment, social and cultural environment of Qinhe river and focuses on the industrial and commercial development by history,sociology and economic history research methods. The paper also analyzes theinteraction between economy development and geographical environment、resource.
