The family business is a business organization, which is closely related to oneor several family that owned enterprise ownership in whole or in part, and ownsenterprise management directly or indirectly. Since the reform and opening, ourFamily business plays an important role in the sustainable development of the nationaleconomy and the stability of social harmony, and becomes an important part ofnational economy. With the increasingly fierce market competition, the developmentof family business of our retail industry is affected by many factors. Its success is notonly affected by external macro environment factors, but also affected by theenterprise internal such as governance structure, enterprise resource, enterprise cultureand so on. So it is essential to explore family business success and sustainabledevelopment of China’s retail industry factors.This article explores family business success influencing factors of china’s retailindustry, based on the research results on at home and abroad and the Value Chain.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, it mainlyintroduces the research background, significance, review, methods, contents, technicalroute and research innovation, etc;The second part is the theoretical basis of familybusiness success influencing factors of china’s retail industry, it mainly introduces thetheory of value chain, key success factors, the micro environment, enterpriseresources, enterprise strategy etc;The third part is about present condition analysis ofthe development of family business of china’s retail industry, it analyzes thedevelopment situation of the family enterprises,the characteristics and the value chainof china’s retail industry; The fourth part is the family business factors that influencethe success of China’s retail industry, it mainly analyzes the basic and auxiliaryactivities of family business of china’s retail industry, and influencing factors, etc; Thefifth part is the empirical analysis of family business success influencing factors ofchina’s retail industry, it mainly includes research design, research samples andresearch method.Meanwhile, Using the spss statistical software and amos software,we make the reliability analysis and validity analysis of data, model measurement andhypothesis testing; The sixth part is conclusion and prospect.This paper indicates that the enterprise resources, management, managementculture, between generations and market capacity all have a positive impact on thesuccess of retail family business. Compared with the enterprise resources, management, culture and between generations,enterprise management and marketcapacity have greater influence on the success of retail family business. To be sure, indiscussing the process of family business success influencing factors of china’s retailindustry, there are still unsatisfactory, such as narrower investigation object scope,less sample number, it is unscientific to summarize the success influencing factors ofretailing family business based on value chain only to enterprise resources, businessmanagement and so on. These still need to improve in the future research.
