Tourists’ satisfaction and loyalty is always one of the hot issues in tourismresearch.More and more tourism scenic area managers have recognized the level oftourists’ satisfaction and loyalty is the key factor which can influence that whether thescenic area can occupy a favorable position in the fierce competition.As the hotspotproblem in foreign tourism geography and environmental psychology abroad in recentyears,the theory of sense of place has generally attracted the attention of the domestichuman geography scholars.The theory of sense of place mainly studies thehuman-environment relation and its effect on person’s attitude and behavior,which hasthe vital significance to the local tourism development.For a place, tourism is anexpression process that the objective feature of a place(natural and culturalcharacteristics) to tourists, which also emphasize the subjective cognition of tourists.Many travel destinations is not distinctive, unique and irreplaceable, mainly dues to thelack of the digging of the feature of a place and the recognition of the tourists’ subjectivedemands, which finally results in the low level of tourists’ satisfaction and loyalty.The deepening of tourism development not only brings opportunities but alsotremendous challenges to a large number of world heritages sites.Under the back groundof tourism development, it would be a new direction for deepening sense of placestudies to do researches on the characteristics of tourists’ sense of place and its influenceon tourists’ satisfaction and loyalty, which also can provide a new perspective for thestudies on the the tourism continuous development of world heritages sites. Taking theworld cultural landscape———Mount Lu in Jiangxi province as the studying objects,this thesis not only analyzes the current situation of the development and protection oftourism resources in Mount Lu, the general characteristics and differences of tourists’sense of place,satisfaction and loyalty, but also builds up a conceptual model of therelations between tourists’ sense of place,satisfaction and loyalty.Several suggestionsaimed to promote the tourists’ satisfaction and loyalty of Mount Lu have been putforward in the end of this essay. Several findings could be concluded as follows:(1)Thefive measurement dimensions of tourists’ sense of place all exist significant positivecorrelations with each other;(2)Affectional attachment exists a significant positiveimpact on tourists’ satisfaction anf loyalty;(3)Effects of natural scenery, socialcultural setting and tourism function of Mount Lu on tourists’ satisfaction andloyalty are realized mainly through their affectional attachment;(4)Tourists’ satisfactionaffects tourists’ loyalty positively and significantly;(5)The intermediary effect oftourists’ satisfaction between natural scenery dimension and tourists’ loyalty is notobvious;(6)Different demographic and travel features of tourists are different in sense ofplace, satisfaction and loyalty.
