City Tourism Public Service Facilities Index System Research

In the construction of the entire major tourist city, tourism service facility is one of the most important material factors. It offers food, housing, travel, shopping, entertainment, and other kinds of service, in order to meet the needs of tourists. Along with the new urbanization, industrial development and urban integration, tourism industry has become an important support to tourism city. It becomes an important part of urban development. In this environment, the tourism industry will usher in a new opportunity for development.The construction of tourism service facilities is an important symbol to measure the level of development of a tourist city. It is also an important factor influencing the tourism experiences. In the face of mounts consumer groups and tourism requirements, tourism service facilities construction is particularly important. How to effectively meet the needs of tourists and residents during the city construction, and how to construct these facilities, is worth discussing and pondering.Through the deep study of related theories and cases, author find that there is little research related to tourism services index system at present all over the world. Many tourist cities do researches and tourism plans before development and construction of the city, in order to guide their constructions, develop directions and implements of their tourism service facilities. Although traditional city planning index system is maturity, it still lack of relevant matters of tourism service facilities, such as tourism traffic, tourism accommodation catering and other tourist facilities.Because of no clear indications of the tourism service system, there are still some problems in the implementation.In order to make up for this deficiency, the author analyzes the present situation of small and medium-sized tourism city, and finds out the factors that affecting the index system of public service facilities of tourist city. By these methods, author gives the conclusion of tourism public service index system which can meet the city tourism and accommodation requirements. It means to promote the human as the core, under considering of the requirements of proportioning and construction of various facilities, in accordance with the principles of diversity, regional characteristics, and systematic principles. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative indicators, introduce an integrate index system of tourism public service.Finally, taking Chengde city as an example, combined with the city position and development goals, starting from establishing international tourist city and its tourism development characteristics, by using the innovated tourism public service index system and technical methods of city planning, it makes the city land layout seamless docking with the city planning, thereby prove the feasibility of the whole system.The construction of tourism index system of public service facilities about small and medium-sized city will be an innovative and exploratory subject. The author hopes the research can provide directions and references for the service facilities configuration of small and medium-sized cities in the future.
